When I was twelve, my aunt Lynn took me to Sears for school clothes. Money was tight, and this gift was a timely blessing to my family of seven. A double blessing arose when she took me to the Barnes and Noble beside this Sears. Immediately, my eyes landed on a paperback copy of Edith Hamilton's Mythology. Aunt Lynn saw my eyes light up and, with a smile, picked it up and bought it for me.Over the years, I have been mesmerized by Greek mythology and travel. Fascinated by the creation stories in far-off places and the pantheon that dominated these stories. Equally enthralled by the heroes who traveled on great missions. Wondering if a black girl like me, now a black woman, could travel to see these places myself. This is why I created Myth & Flame Collective to foster that dream and share my gifts with others.Myth & Flame Collective is more than a collection of products. It's an opportunity to create and ignite your own narrative.Myth is to story as flame is to passion.What is your story, and what is your passion?
